CLASS Users Get Preview of CLASS 2012
November 15, 2011
On 15th November users of Cirrus Logistics’ CLASS solution gathered at Cranfield University to share their experiences and hear about the future plans for the solution. This included a preview of the latest version of the CLASS modelling and simulation software CLASS 2012, due for release early in 2012, which has been brought completely up-to-date on the latest .NET platform.
CLASS 2012, in addition to all of the functionality of previous versions, has a brand new look and feel. This will enable users to make use of some of the more advanced features more easily. Moving the solution onto the new platform will ensure the future longevity of the product and has given the CLASS team the ability to keep building on the product’s strong foundations. The user event enabled delegates to learn about the new version of CLASS and to have the opportunity to try it out in hands-on sessions.
David Stanhope, Cirrus Logistics’ CEO, commented “It was fantastic to see over 50 people at this year’s event, to learn more about the CLASS product. Users were keen to get a preview of CLASS 2012, and we received very positive feedback on the developments we have made, particularly as experienced users can see we have significantly enhanced the product without losing the intuitive nature of previous versions. It’s always useful for us to gather so many users together to enable them to help us drive the product forward.”
Guest speakers from the Co-operative and Allied Bakeries presented their observations and experiences of using CLASS. In addition guest speaker, Janet Godsell from Cranfield University, gave the group an insight into developing a Customer Responsive Supply Chain Strategy. With the mixture of product updates, customer stories and industry presentation, the day proved to be very informative and successful, something Cirrus plan to build on for next year’s event.
